About NIAAH

Advancing African American health across generations.

NIAAH improves African American health by connecting community knowledge, health professionals, evidence, and opportunity across generations.

Founded by physician and educator Dr. Gregory L. Hall, NIAAH brings community understanding, health system practice, and the next generation of health leadership into shared work. We partner around defined needs, clear activities, and outcomes that can be assessed together.

Our vision

One mission, connected contributions.

NIAAH prepares future health leaders through NIAAH Scholars, supports clinician learning, curates trusted research and health information, and is developing a signature focus on aging, caregiving, and family health. These efforts connect community experience with evidence and health system practice.

Leadership

Guided by medicine, scholarship, and a commitment to community health.

NIAAH’s leadership brings clinical experience and social science perspectives to the work of advancing whole health.
