Education and certification are distinct
Full certification in developmentNIAAH is developing its certification framework, including standards, assessment, and clinical oversight. Completing a CME course should not be interpreted as automatically conferring a NIAAH credential.
Current issuance arrangements, fees, validity, renewal, assessment, and permission to use the NIAAH Certified mark must be confirmed directly with NIAAH before applying for a credential or using a designation. This page does not offer credential purchase or issuance.
Help shape an institutional learning partnership
Health systems and medical groups can discuss learning needs and prospective implementation work with NIAAH. Any engagement requires a defined scope, faculty and review arrangements, delivery format, budget, and evaluation plan.
Learning participation alone does not demonstrate changed clinical practice or patient outcomes. Those questions require an appropriate evaluation.
